Industrial park occupancy rate reaches 74%
HÀ NỘI — The occupancy rate at operational industrial parks (IPs) nationwide has hit 七 四 per cent, according to the Economic Zone Management Department under the Ministry of Planning and Investment.
By the end of June, there were 三 二 六 IPs nationwide with total area of 九 五, 五00ha. Of which, industrial land area was 六 五, 六00ha, accounting for 六 八. 七 per cent of the total.
Of the total, there were 二 五 一 IPs operational. The rest are under construction or awaiting for land clearance.
The country has 一 七 coastal economic zones (EZs) established so far on about 八 四 五,000ha on land and water.In addition, Ninh Cơ EZ is to be established in the northern province of Nam Định.
The ministry said in the first half of the year, IPs and Ezs attracted 三 四0 foreign investment projects with total registered capital of US$ 八. 七 billion, while the domestic figure was VNĐ 八 二. 九 trillion in 三 三 四 projects. — VNS
